The 3rd floor within Wilberforce Health Centre offers a range of services for people under 25. Other services are also available in Wilberforce or can be found at various sites across Hull and the East Riding, please see the links on the left of this page.

Cornerhouse 'Network'

Young People's Walk-in information centre - 3rd floor Wilberforce Health Centre

Cornerhouse workers provide free confidential sexual health information, condoms and lubricants to young people up to 25. You can call into the drop-in and get a free pregnancy test and/or chlamydia screening. These are available with no appointment.

Workers deliver training sessions to various groups. These focus on sexual health matters, sexually transmitted infections (STI's), contraception, relationships, where services are, what's available and the rights of young people.  

What's available?

  • Chlamydia screening
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Support and information around issues of sexual health, inclusive of STI's and HIV
  • Condom demonstrations
  • Sexual health delivery to schools, colleges and youth clubs (on our premises)
  • Peer-ed groups delivering sexual health, advice and education to their peers (Peer-ed drop in on Saturday afternoon)
  • Referrals to appropriate agencies i.e. teenage pregnancy
  • Information regarding emergency contraception and family planning. Cornerhouse will support young people in completing triage forms and accompanying them to FPC and GUM within Conifer House if required.

  • Working Women's drop-in Mondays 10.00am - 12.00pm
  • One to One support counselling for newly diagnosed/ongoing HIV clients

Additional young people's drop-ins are available at Longhill Link Up Trust, Hull College, Newland Youth Centre and other venues around the city. CASPHER

Chlamydia screening is also available via the CASPHER team here. 

Pharmacies Supplying Chlamydia Treatment under Patient Group Direction (PGD):  CASPHER patients, between the ages of 14-24, who send in a chlamydia test and get a positive result can choose where they access treatment from. A new option is to make an appointment at one of 17 pharmacies across Hull who have pharmacists accredited to supply this treatment under PGD. The NHS National Chlamydia Screening Programme wants to know how we are doing so we need your help! If you are under 25 we really want to hear about your experiences of chlamydia testing, even if you have not actually had a test yet. To help us just click here  to start the survey.
