They provide daytime and evening time advice and supprt for commercial sex workers on the street in the Hull area. Three evenings a week they are going around areas where the street workers are on their bus and offering free condoms, wipes, drink and one to one support.
During the daytime they offer support from drugs to health appointments, housing needs, domestic violence support, help to find an accommodation, prison visits and also range of activities. They also work closely with the police regarding sexual exploitation if needed.
The Project offers an opportunity for workers to change their life style.
Holistic support of this project covers help with drug use, support during pregnancy, liasing with social services, practical help with budgeting, negotiating repayment of debts at low rates, visiting solicitors and probation and many more.
The drop in centre is used by over 90% of the women who work on the streets and over 40 women have been helped out of a life of prostitution.
