Information for Parents

Got a Teenager??? Help is at hand.

Parenting teenage children provides considerable (joys and) burdens for which there is often little public help.

So what do parents of teenagers do to help themselves? Understanding normal teenage development is helpful.

Parentline Plus takes thousands of calls from parents and many of these are mums, dads, step-parents and others caring for children who are concerned about their teenagers. Problems range from mood swings and arguments to sex, drugs and exam stress.

They have a free helpline tel. 0808 800 222 and website www.parentlineplus.org.uk
