Boys & Young Men's Project
Based at Cornerhouse, the aim of The Boys and Young Men’s Project is two-fold: Prevention and Support.
The prevention side of the work is looking at males taking more responsibility for their sexual health and reducing the number of teenage pregnancies through the promotion of condom usage and other safer sex practises. It also hopes to reduce the number of males contracting Sexually Transmitted Infections and other health risks such as Testicular Cancer.
The support side is done through one to one work.
Support is offered on a range of issues including sexuality, gender, fatherhood/abortion issues, Sexually Transmitted Infections, delaying first sexual experiences etc. |
