Boys & Young Men

Boys and Young Men

Based at Cornerhouse, the aim of the project is two-fold: Prevetion and Support.

The prevention side of the work is looking at males taking more responsibility for their sexual health and reducing the number of teenage pregnancies through the promotion of condom usage and other safer sex practises. It also hopes to reduce the number of males contracting STI's and other health risks such as testicular cancer.

The support side is done through one to one work. Support is offered on a range of issues including sexuality, gender, fatherhood/abortion issues, STI's, delaying first sexual experiences etc.

All support work is free and confidential.

"I offer workshops on issues such as condom usage, STI's, testicular cancer, pornography, pregnancy/abortion, the menstrual cycle, what makes a man and self esteem/feelings.

I am loking to recruit volunteers who will become positive role models for Boys and Young Men. All training is free with opportunities for personal development."
