Advice & Guidance - Pregnancy & Contraception

If you need emergency contraception and had sex longer than 72 hours ago but less than 5 days ago you will need to attend a Sexual Health/Family planning clinic/GP for emergency contraception to reduce your risk of pregnancy. The best method is an emergency IUD. Ring Conifer House on 01482 336336 to find out where you can go for an IUD.

If you do not have any symptoms please complete the online sexual health checkup form by clicking here. Once complete, please bring this with you to the clinic.
For a check up if no symptoms wait 2 weeks after unprotected sex, then attend Sexual Health (it can take up to 2 weeks for some of the tests to be accurate). If symptoms develop in the meantime attend as soon as possible.
