If you had unprotected sex less than 72 hours ago with someone known to have HIV, or you are worried may have HIV you can attend Conifer House or any other GU clinic immediately to discuss having medication PEPSE (medication to reduce your risk of being infected). If more than 72 hours attend Conifer House to discuss what to do next. |

If you have symptoms you should attend GUM clinic as soon as possible. If you want an HIV test because you are concerned about a risk due to having sex less than 72 hours ago attend GUM immediately. |
|
If you want an HIV test for ‘peace of mind’ or to check out risks you have taken in the past, attend GUM. Remember that it can take up to 3 months after contact with HIV before a test result is accurate, but if you are concerned you can attend before then to discuss your individual circumstances. |
