25 & Over

The service offers friendly, free and confidential information, advice, treatment and support for all ages.

Over the last few years we have seen an increase in STIs in Hull and the East Riding in the over 40s. For information on signs and symptoms click here.

It doesn't matter what age you are the risks are the same - only condoms protect against STIs. Click here for information on obtaining free condoms.

There is relevant information for the over 25s throughout this website - see in particular the following:

We currently have our 'Second Time Around' awareness raising campaign on local radio aimed at the over 40s, as many people coming out of a long term relationship may find themselves in the minefield of having to negotiate safe sex, many do not know the risks involved, and many are not aware of what is available in terms of contraception etc. Listen to the commercials here:

Information about you

It may be used to help train any staff involved in your care. Information we collect may also be used after you have been treated to help us to maintain and improve the quality of our care, to plan services, or to research into new developments.

We may pass on information to other health organisations to help improve the quality of care provided by the NHS generally.

All information is treated as strictly confidential, and is not given to anyone who does not need it. If you have any concerns please ask your doctor, or the person caring for you.
